It was an absolute pleasure to help out a lovely local couple who explored the option of using a winch to pull their mobility scooter into a Ford Tourneo. The Mobility Scooter is unique; a three wheeler which has similar handlebars to a Harley!
The winch of choice was a COMEUP Cub4s which is a smaller winch with the capacity to pull 4,000lbs with synthetic rope.
We fabricated a mounting bracket to sit the winch and two webbing belts without drilling into the body. We also mounted an Emergency Stop as a safety measure... To be fair, we always advise an E-Stop on our installations.
The customers were very happy with our engineer's clean, intuitive and safe work.
